The Dudley Lakes. Hunt and Fish in Seale, AL. Historic Gristmill

Historic Gristmill
Seale, AL

This 500 acre farm located in Russell County, Alabama, is owned by Mr. Jimmy Dudley and is now in its 18th year of providing hunting and fishing trips to the general public. The land consists of mature hardwoods, lakes, beaver ponds, food plots and pine trees that make this ideal habitat for some of the finest hunting and fishing around.

The Dudley Lakes provide a place to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. The average deer consumes 8.25 pounds of plant material a day and that is why at the Dudley Lakes we fertilize our blackberry and green briar patches during the Spring and Summer. In the Fall, clover, rye, wheat and oats are planted to give an annual supply of high quality food.

At the Dudley Lakes, ladder stands and enclosed stands are placed throughout the property. You are welcome to bring your own stand which can be a lock on or climber, no screw in steps allowed. In keeping with our management plan all bucks must be a minimum 15 inch inside spread with a minimum 8 points no exceptions to this rule. A 500 dollar fee will be added to the final bill for anything less than the above mentioned guideline. If you you were born on or after 08/01/1977 you will need to have completed a hunter safety course. A license will need to be purchased 3 day license 77.00 dollars or 10 day license 127.00 dollars.

At the Dudley Lakes our goal is to have each hunter or fisherman leave with the same feeling as when they arrived for their big fishing or hunting trip.

Now, a few quotes from our hunters and fisherman:

"The Dudley Lakes provides some of the finest fishing and hunting around."
"The most beautiful place I've ever seen..."
"These folks know what they are doing."
"Can I move to Seale, Alabama?"
